About Me

I’m Sarah, misfit advocate and self-proclaimed weirdo. I’ve never really fit in.  When I was younger, that bothered me.  But, as I got older, I realized that my weirdness is my best asset.

I have a passion for making space for people to be who they are or want to be. When I’m not knee deep in parenting my weird (i.e,. amazing) girls, I spend my time helping fellow misfits accept themselves and embrace life.

I love learning and sharing my knowledge with others.  No topic is off limits, but I tend to spend my time thinking, consulting and learning about (aka hyperfocusing on) these major themes:

  • Trauma – both big trauma (like my own C-PTSD) and small trauma, perfectionism, and control
  • Neurodivergence – mostly ADHD, giftedness, Autism, twice exceptional kids
  • Parenting – focusing on 2e parents navigating life with 2e kids, leaning into Dr. Ross Greene’s Collaborative and Proactive Solutions model
  • Chronic Illness – Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, POTS, Sjogrens Syndrome, MCAS
  • Math, optimization, decision analysis, education in general (NERD ALERT! I have a PhD in Environmental Engineering and a Masters in Applied Math. This was back when I wasn’t sure what I wanted in life, but everyone else was sure a woman in STEM was a good thing to become.)

In addition to the resources I provide here, I am also a PCI certified parent coach and work one on one with parents.  Drop me a message if you want to connect!
